in-text citations
In-text citations show where you borrowed information from (the sources you cite should match with the works cited page)
In-text citations come at the end of a sentence or paragraph in which you used information or a direct quotation from someone else (book, website, lecture...etc.)
In-text citation: (Author's last name page number) ie: (Archuleta 3)
...end of the sentence where you used info from a source (Archuleta 2).
If there is no author, write the website's name (can shorten as long as it can still be matched to works cited page).
Ex: ...end of your sentence (debate.org).
If using exact words from your source, make sure to put quotation marks:
Ex: "This is a direct quote" (Archuleta 3).
or if a website: "This is a direct quote" (websitename.org).
