Pronouns replace nouns (I, you, he, she, they, we).
There are different types of pronouns:
personal pronouns: [he, she, they]
demonstrative pronouns: demonstrate or point out specific things: [this, that, those]
interrogative pronouns: used to ask questions [which, who]
indefinite pronouns: refers to a non-specific thing or person [none, several]
possessive pronouns: shows ownerships [his, hers, your]
reciprocal pronouns: used for an action or feeling that is reciprocated (given back or the same between two people) [each other, one another]
relative pronouns: links one phrase to another word in the sentence: [which, where] The car which I drive everyday is broken down. which links the car and I drive everyday...
reflexive pronouns: refers back to another noun in the sentence: itself, himself (Jane excused herself from the table. <-herself refers back to Jane)
intensive pronouns: used for emphasis (I built the house myself. <-myself puts emphasis on who built the house- I)
